It wasn't until I got to the end that I realized that this book is about Callum. His feelings, his thoughts. What I mean is - sure, we run into Black Annis throughout the book, but most of the book is Callum's training, frustrations. Not until the end of the book does he fight Black Annis (he does run into her briefly earlier). He finds her, he fights her and boom - story over. It was like a long climb up a steep hill that ends with a cliff.

I would have preferred more run-ins between Callum and Black Annis, or other supernatural beings. The book is well-written, so I was carried along, but when I got to the end.. I was rather disappointed.
I enjoy this series a great deal. It has a very supernatural feeling. It's a good sequel to the first Shadowing book. Keep it up Adam Slater.
I'm getting so interested in these books. They're amazingly detailed and I'm absolutely in love. I can't wait to read the next one. Doomed. Sounds interesting.
